 The beginning...

Hello, my name is Linda, and I'm a creative adventurer.

Recently, I decided to write a story for the Art House Co-op's 'The Fiction Project".  It's very exciting.

You receive a blank moleskin book in the mail and a title.  Then, you write a fictional story and illustrate it, too.  You send the completed book back to The Art House Co-op and it tours the US with the other completed books.

Later, when the tour is done the books return to the Brooklyn Art Library and they become part of a permanent collection.  Very cool.

The story I wrote is short and simple, yet it holds a message I deeply believe in my heart to be true.

...And, This is how - Melanie the Muse and my Muse Adventure blog came into being.

About Melanie the Muse:

She is fun, playful - always a bit of a mischief.  Her main reason for being is to help others realize their true creative virtues.  She loves to help artists, writers, crafters, and other creatives overcome resistance and procrastination and to realize their true potential.

Melanie's philosophy is - Why live if you don't create and play?  Just have fun and do what you do...It's sort of that simple.  Don't worry about perfection.  It will come with practice.

OK, I'm getting preachy.

But, this is how Muse Adventure came about....

A little about the story:

Melanie aka/ the Muse, was born as the main character in a book written by me - Linda M Lamore for The Art House Co-op's - 2011 The Fiction Project.

The story begins when Melanie finds an abandoned blank book needing much attention. She makes the book her priority and gives it to a blocked artist who also needs help.

Melanie works her magic. The frustrated artist finds new confidence and reunites with her true artistic self. Melanie brings to life the artists brilliant creative abilities, and helps her learn an important lesson.

Melanie decides to continue her work by helping other creatives realize their true potential. She starts "Muse Adventure" a playful blog where she helps others follow their heart and their find their creative voice.

Join Melanie in her Muse Adventure. She hopes you'll follow her blog and leave comments, too.
